A little bit,” her grandmother answered. “We call it a hologram. We’ll explain everything when you get here, but for now you need to hurry and find the last three stones.

The hologram disappeared and Sharon noticed that the necklace was pulling her across the path, where Jumbo’s footprints were, toward a path she had not taken before.

I wonder if this path would also curve back toward this clearing,” thought Sharon.

She was not at all surprised when the next two stones joined the ones already in her necklace.

That’s a pretty shape,” she thought as the last two teardrop-shaped stones joined with the others. There were now three heart shapes almost forming a circle. There was space at the bottom for one more teardrop-shaped stone.

Within a few minutes Sharon again stood facing the small clearing she had seen before. This time the necklace pulled her in the direction Jumbo had taken.

When will I see the last stone?” she wondered as she walked through the clearing. “One more stone will finish the circle.

She had only taken a couple of steps out of the clearing and into the woods when she saw the final blue stone flying toward her. It clicked against the other stones.

“Nooooooooooooooo!” cried Sharon as all the stones fell from the chain to land at her feet on the path. “It’s broken! Now what do I do?”
